Argentina: Protesters tell Temer he’s not welcome

Argentina: Protesters tell Temer he’s not welcome

Oct Thursday 6th 2016

UNELECTED Brazilian President Michel Temer received a hostile reception when he visited the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires on Tuesday.

Brazilian expatriates, trade unionists and left-wing groups scattered thousands of rubber rats on the pavements of the Olivos district where Mr Temer was received by Argentinian President Mauricio Macri.

There were also protests in the central Plaza de Mayo and outside the chancellery building.

“We reject his government as illegal and putschist,” said Denisse Braz of the Passarinho Collective of groups organising the protests.
