Pence Vows to 'Reverse' President Obama's New Cuba Policies

Pence Vows to 'Reverse' President Obama's New Cuba Policies
Oct 14 2016, 10:54 pm ET
by Vaughn Hillyard

MIAMI — Mike Pence declared to a roomful of Miami Republicans on Friday night that the Trump administration would maintain the U.S. embargo against Cuba upon entering office.

"Let me make a promise to you: When Donald Trump and I take to the White House, we will reverse Barack Obama's executive order on Cuba," Pence said. "We will support a continuation of the embargo until we see real political freedom in that nation once and for all."

The GOP vice presidential candidate's statement echoes his running mate, who tweeted two days ago that he would "reverse" the Obama directives "until freedoms are restored."

President Obama's executive actions, in part, have lifted a series of restrictions on Cuba, opened a U.S. embassy in the country and established travel and business between the two nations. He issued additional directives on Friday to further loosen restrictions aimed at increasing trade with the island nation.

Access to Cuban markets means that Americans can sell food, cars, consumer products, tourism, financial services into Cuba. That translates into American jobs and improving our trade deficit. Mike Pence is a dolt and an ideologue, who couldn't see a banana peel on the sidewalk, because he's too busy daydreaming about his political ambition.

...years.....

I guarantee not one of them who has smoked a cigar (ok - maybe one!) can say that they haven't and adhered to the "embargo"...

That counts for most members of congress of both parties....

I think I heard that he got it either at the Israeli embassy, or while he was in Israel on a trip.

Smoke it, Tom. I hope you choke.[/center]

He was ALWAYS one of the ones the right-wing Miami Cubans could ALWAYS count on to support their bills against dropping the tourist ban to Cuba, etc., etc., and to stand up for them when they wanted to put more pressure on the little country, hoping things would get so bad they would have another revolution and allow the dirty criminals, politicians, corrupt businessmen, or their offspring to get right back on top of the Cuban people, all over again.

As you have seen, the Cuban people don't want them back, at any price. The greedy, racist scum in South Florida and New Jersey who "fled" the anger of the Cuban people are the reason they had the revolution in the first place!
