US Congressmen Meet with Cuban MPs

Havana, Dec 19 (Prensa Latina) A delegation of four U.S. congressmen from the black caucus held working meetings with the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of Cuban People''s Power (Parliament).

According to a note from the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the Democratic Representative Barbara Lee led the members of the U.S. legislature during the meeting held at Havana's Capitol, the seat of the Cuban parliament.

The visiting delegation was also received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Director General of the United States, Josefina Vidal.

The black caucus, which gathers the African-American members of the U.S. Congress, recognizes as its objectives to positively influence the course of events related to Afro-descendants and achieving greater equity for the people of that group.
