Honduras Becomes a Bridge in Migratory Route to the US


Tegucigalpa, Mar 6 (Prensa Latina) Nearly 2,000 people from 24 nationalities entred Honduras illegally this year, as part of their migration to reach the United States, official sources said here Monday.

A report from the National Inter Institutional Security Force said the Honduran authorities registered 1,927 persons from different nationalities who crossed the Honduran borders illegally.

Among the original nations from these illegal migrants came from, there are Haiti, Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Somalia, India, Pakistán, Ghana, Cameroon, Gambia, Brazil, Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leona, Angola, Cote d Ivoire, Nepal, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Togo, Venezuela and Etiopía.

Nevertheless, very few, or none of these migrants decide to establish in Honduras, since they want to reach the US, as Honduran Liutenant Colonel Santos Nolasco expressed.
