Bolivia Turned Over Former USAID Headquarters of Armed Forces Command

Bolivia Turned Over Former USAID Headquarters of Armed Forces Command

La Paz, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) President Evo Morales delivered today to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces the former headquarters of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), expelled from Bolivia for interference in internal affairs.

The delivery of these facilities contains a symbolism because this building, which used to be a center of North American intervention and domination, now becomes a center of integration, Morales stated.

In 2013 Bolivia decided to expel the USAID from the territory for conspiring against the government and the process of change.

'I do not regret having expelled,' the president said at the ceremony, recalling that the indigenous movement has fought a hard battle against interventionism and foreign domination.
