Caracas, March 6th.- Failure. That is what users have obtained when trying to buy petros in the web portal that the Venezuelan Government had for such operations.

For the 20 of February the beginning of the "presale" of the Petro was proposed by means of its web portal . So far, the page has only allowed users to register, but can not buy the currency. "The process, affected by the slowness of the page, among other failures, requires that the user receive an email to enter the petro wallet and thus allow the beneficiary to buy petros. But by clicking on the "buy" button the platform stopped working causing an error on the page," explained journalist Nelson Bocaranda in his Runrunes .

Until now, no user should have been able to buy petros due to page faults. In addition, the government's cryptoactive does not even have an official intelligent contract yet," remarked Bocaranda in the article published on Tuesday.

Step right up, UI's, and salvage the Great Bolivarian Revolution. Maduro and the Chavistas would be happy to take your dollars, except they can't exchange them for Petros just right yet. Maybe next week. Or month. Or, perhaps you could contact the Russians who designed the Petro scheme... except they cannot be found anywhere. And don't be put off by the fact that the rules for buying (and selling) the Petro haven't been divulged yet... have faith in Chavismo, baby!

But if you are so inclined, just send your cash directly to Maduro's incorruptible wife Celia (or Chavez' oldest daughter, Maria Gabriella, worth $4.2 billion), who will make it their personal mission to assure that every bit of cash is used for the benevolence of starving Venezuelans. Less their commission and other fees, naturally!
