Fifty-five days after the National Electoral Council conducts the presidential elections, the majority of Venezuelans do not want Nicolás Maduro to be renewed in office for a period of 6 more years. The pollsters Delphos and Hercon Consultores agree that 75% reject the re-election of the president.

The field study, which culminated Hercon a week ago, revealed that 74% of respondents believe that government management has been bad by the acute shortage of medicines and food, poor economic policies, social control that wants to exercise and the few possibilities that exist to progress. 45% of the official recognized that the situation is critical.

"The great part of the ruling party admitted that the situation is hard, that there is hunger. Recognizing the crisis influences the general rejection. The crisis has no political distinction. More than 30% of government supporters blame the president for the crisis; that is, they dare to interpellate him. There is no longer automatic solidarity for the revolutionary project. More than 800 people eat once a day and 'if they have', and that is related to the political model that exists, "said Marcos Hernández, director of Hercon.

If reference is made to those who do not identify with any political force and opponents, the responsibility attributed to Maduro in the crisis amounts to 71.7%.

The guy is a shoo in to be re-elected. Why not? The only person allowed to run against Maduro (Henri Falcón) is possibly more hated than Maduro. Henri Falcón certainly isn't a dramatic change from Maduro... both being fawning sycophants to Chavismo.

Fear not! Maduro and his minions claim that once Maduro is re-selected, then they can put their full concentration upon what ails Venezuela for the last 18 years. Clearly, the 13,000% annual hyperinflation, the 40,000,000% devaluation of the Bolivar since 1999, the loss of 99.6% of the Bolivars purchasing power in the last two years, and the recent revaluation of the Bolivar Sovereign (nee Bolivar, nee Bolivar Fuerte) by lopping off another 3 zeros... somebody needs to do something soon... I'm seeing a trend in a bad direction!!!
