Daniel Ortega, president of Nicaragua, asked that the deaths generated by the protests in the Central American country cease.

Ortega, who usually gives long live speeches, limited himself to reading a statement in which he asked "to put an end to death and destruction, so that the blood of brothers continues to be shed," he said.

The president's call was made while the citizens of Masaya maintained a combat that lasted more than 14 hours with the National Police, with Sandinista Youth and groups related to Ortega that are known as "mobs".

"Peace is the way and the only door to coexistence and respect for the tranquility and security of all, we ask God to give us the strength to achieve it," said the president.

This Saturday, Nicaragua celebrated 25 days of protests in favor and against Ortega, which began with the rejection of social security reforms and which continued due to the deadly victims of the repression.

Funny guy... wants peace and "coexistence"... so long as he and his wife remain in absolute power. Who supports Ortega? Cuba, Venezuela, the National Police and the Hitler... err... Sandinista Youth.

“Every girl belongs to us”

And who opposes Ortega? The churches. The peasants. The workers. The youth. The businesses.
