Most promises made by Brazilian President Michel Temer (MDB) in his first speech as the president of the country in May 2016 were not, or only partially, fulfilled after two years of his administration completed on Saturday, May 12.
In his speech at the instatement of his ministers, President Temer listed 19 proposals. He has fulfilled entirely only two so far, failed to fulfill seven and in other seven cases the promises were only met to some degree.

After two years, President Temer has record-breaking rejection among Brazilians, lost the official support of his main ally, rightist political party PSDB, and the group that comprises his base is shattered, with at least six likely candidates to run for president in the next election.
