Venezuelan dictator nationalizes another industry. Now its slaughterhouses.

El Aissami: We begin the temporary occupation of 21 slaughterhouses for 180 days

Yalezsa Zavala / photo: @ VTVcanal8 / 30 Nov 2018.- The Vice President of the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, announced on Thursday that 21 slaughterhouses were occupied for 180 days, renewable to guarantee the supply of meat and avoid the "kidnapping" to which , in his opinion, they had submitted the product.

In a press conference El Aissami said that one of the issues that "was disturbed" in the meetings of the Executive with the companies and production chains, was precisely that of meat.

"Today we have begun the temporary occupation by 21 slaughterhouses, public and private, which have repeatedly violated the agreed price policy," he said.

He explained that this occupation is for 180 days renewable and is done through the Grand Mission Sovereign Supply and in coordination with the Bolivarian governorates.

He also said that a call was made to correct these "distortions", but the owners of slaughterhouses ignored them.
"Unfortunately the meat plan worked for several weeks, but then the owners of the slaughterhouses started a boycott, sabotage to divert the meat to other sectors, mainly to smuggling, to extraction, to marketing outside the agreed price policy, etc, "he said.

"What is the objective of temporary occupation? First, prohibit the diversion of products and counteract the smuggling of meat, to ensure that it reaches the marketing chains, the Clap fundamentally. Second, guarantee the agreed prices. We have established prices, even subject to international standards. There is no excuse on the part of these gentlemen to have kidnapped, stolen and denied the people their right to animal protein, "he explained.

He added that the occupation measure guarantees the labor stability of the workers. "To our dear compatriots workers of these 21 slaughterhouses our message of solidarity, of commitment. You know that the worker president Nicolás Maduro has been paying their salary, we will continue to pay their salary and we will guarantee job security in these slaughterhouses. But we are not going to allow that patron thief who has tried to steal from the people, keep doing his thing", he said.

He informed that the Public Ministry was requested to initiate criminal investigations to determine the responsibility of the owners of these 21 slaughterhouses.

Because if there is anything that Chavismo knows how to do well, is take a functioning business and ruin it within weeks. And there is no such thing as "temporary" in ChavismoLand. When Chavismo takes control, the business founders immediately, and the assets are sold off. Whereupon what remains (stripped down business) is gifted to El Pueblo for them to own "the means of production". Meaning they will produce nothing. Like GM. Like Kimberly Clarke. Like Bridgestone. Like Smurfit Kappa. Like Clorox...

Funny story bro. A group of workers in Venezuela are guarding (preventing theft) of a defunct logging operation in the hopes that the owners of the operation will return. Their demands are simple: "We do NOT WANT CHAVISMO TO COME IN AND RESTART THIS COMPANY! IMPERIALIST PLEASE COME BACK!"
