Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mexicos first leftist president in seven decades, has been sworn in with a promise to abolish free-market policies and transform Latin Americas second-biggest economy.

He won a landslide victory in July his third presidential bid to overturn a deeply entrenched political establishment. He said the victory marked a change not just in government but of an entire political regime.
