Ana Rosario Contreras, president of the College of Nurses of Caracas, said that the medicines announced by Nicolás Maduro have not reached Venezuelan hospitals.
"We were the object of lies by the government that Nicolás Maduro is usurping today, where are the medicines that were going to reach the Periférico de Catia, or the Pérez de León? You have lied to the country, we can not continue to allow health to continue to be a show, and every time a patient dies it is the responsibility of the usurper," Contreras said during a press conference.
Maduro said on February 21 that 7.5 tons of medicines from Russia would arrive to the national territory to supply the emergencies and surgical care of the Ruíz and Paez hospitals, in the state of Bolívar; Pérez de León, in Miranda and the Periférico de Catia health center, in Caracas, this was reported by the Efecto Cocuyo portal .
Maduro's statements came two days before the blockade of humanitarian aid entry on February 23, the day in which authorities at the borders stopped the passage of supplies into the national territory.
