What 50 Countries are Backing Guaidó? Who Knows? Who Cares? If the Media Say It Enough It Must Be True
by DAVE LINDORFF

American media still refer to Juan Guaidó, America’s hand-picked “legitimate leader” or “legitimate president” of Venezuela, as having an “administration.”

The truth is that his “administration” — consisting of advisors and other opposition leaders — are all either arrested and being held by the government, hiding, seeking asylum in various foreign embassies (Spanish, Italian, Brazilian and Argentinian) in the capital of Caracas, or have fled to other countries like Brazil and Colombia.

Guaidó, apparently a government of one, has so far avoided arrest probably because the elected Venezuelan President Maduro doesn’t want to give the US an excuse to try and rescue him, or to launch military actions of some kind against Venezuela as the White House keeps threatening to do.

Clearly, in calling for US military intervention, Guaidó has both demonstrated almost his total lack of backing among the masses of Venezuelan people, as well as his desperation, given most Latin Americans’ visceral resentment of US interventions in their country, all of which have been designed to put autocrats or even military juntas in power, and many of which have openly overthrown popularly elected governments, as in Guatemala, Chile, Brazil, Nicaragua, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and elsewhere.

Reports of thousands of protesting Guaido supporters were actually Maduro supporters.
Trump is doing to Venezuela the same thing that he is doing to Iran, hurting both countries economically with sanctions. Other countries that are supposed to be our allies are not going to continue supporting us if we keep feeding them false flag information. Germany has already made comments about how it can't ally itself with a Trump USA. If your were the leaders of France, Germany and others would you share classified foreign policy information with Donald Trump?

Soon the US will only have Israel and Saudi Arabia as our allies. Bibi is naming a train station, a square, and a street after Trump and Saudi Arabia is spending millions of dollars at Trump properties.

If you say so, I guess Maduro invites him to speak at these rallies?

as one of many journalists, has made the same comments repeatedly, that there has been a conspicious effort to pretend all the people demonstration are the "opposition." Deception has been huge from the first.

If you've been unaware of how long that kind of perception management has been going on, and I'm pretty sure you aren't unaware, a great definition will leap up in any resource which discusses the career of U.S. American Edward Bernays. He conned the entire country into supporting Eisenhower's overthrow of President Jacobo Arbenz of Guatemala in 1954, kicking off horrendous civil war, which wiped out over a quarter of a million Guatemalan poor, almost all over them indigenous Mayan people, in barbaric, sadistic, monstrous ways.

All it took was telling the US public the absolute opposite of the truth throughout. It never stopped.

I agree with your conclusion. Having such a criminal as Trump's biggest fan is an insult to the whole country.
