La Familia Michoacana kingpin 'El Rigo' extradited to the U.S.

'El Rigo'; picture blurred by Mexican officials
A few days ago, Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) extradited Rigoberto Andrade Renteria ("El Rigo" ), former high-ranking member of La Familia Michoacana, to the United States.
He was wanted by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for conspiring to import cocaine and methamphetamine into the U.S. from Mexico.
El Rigo is the brother of drug kingpin Ignacio Andrade Renteria ("El Cenizo" ). Both of them worked together producing and trafficking drugs into the U.S. El Rigo was responsible for coordinating smuggling operations while his brother El Cenizo managed the production of narcotics in clandestine drug labs throughout the Tierra Caliente region.
U.S. indictment
On 22 October 2009, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York indicted El Rigo, his brother El Cenizo and Juan Luis Palominos-Sepúlveda for their involvement with La Familia Michoacana.
