Colombia's navy has seized more than two tonnes of cocaine with a value of around $US68 million ($93 million) from a semi-submersible vessel intercepted off the country's Pacific coast.
The 15-metre semi-submersible craft was intercepted off the coast of Nariño department, in southwest Colombia on Saturday.
Two Colombian nationals and a foreigner were found in the narco-submarine on its way to Central America, said Colombian Rear-Admiral Orlando Cubillos, commander of the Poseidon task force against drug trafficking.
"Upon inspection of the motor vessel, we found 102 bags with a total of 2 tonnes of cocaine," he said.
Colombia's President Ivan Duque last week said military and police authorities had seized 116 tonnes of cocaine in the seventh phase of Orion, a multinational naval operation in which 38 countries took part.
