Waterspout spectacle off the coast of Cuba

Residents of Cienfuegos, Cuba, have been sharing footage of a waterspout which formed just off the coast, near the city, on Saturday October 16.

No damage was reported.

1. I used to work at a waterfront highrise building in Jax. FL.

One day there were 3 waterspouts on the river near us. It was really scary as it looked like the largest was heading right at us. Luckily it was late on a Friday and only the diehards were left. We all met up in the lobby but the guards wouldn't let us leave until the spouts dissipated or left the area. We were so happy when about 15 min. later the skies started to clear and no one had been hurt there. It did almost push 3 cars off a bridge, though. I can't imagine what they went through.

2. They look just like tornadoes, too scary, in every way. Other-worldly.

It's a wonder gun lovers don't try to shoot them!

3. Large waterspout spins off coast of Cuba

Cubans marveled at a large waterspout spinning off the coast of Cienfuegos over the weekend. No damage was reported.
