Mujica not to visit Chávez because "there is no possibility to see him"

President of Uruguay José Mujica desisted from traveling to Havana to visit his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez, as "there is no chance of seeing him," said on Thursday senator Lucía Topolansky, Mujica's wife.

Mujica's intended trip to Havana "makes no sense" because doctors taking care of Chávez informed that visits are not allowed, said the legislator.

She added that they have been closely monitoring "with attention and concern" the news about Chávez's health, whom she described as a friend. She told local media, "We must wait and have faith."

Just a guess, but he has not been seen or heard from since being treated in Cuba.

Hard to get news in Cuba, and they are obviously keeping a tight lip on the situation, to avoid any panic.

Folks are starting to ask questions though, so eventually the truth will come out.

That's what this tells you, right fucking there.

I don't think he's technically dead because I don't think the family would let them keep a secret of his death, but I do think they are using manipulation of the family members who are no doubt in a fragile state of mind to keep him on life support until he literally gives out. I think if they pull the plug though he will not survive long.
