Gallup Poll: Americans Most Negative On the Nation And Economy In 30 Years

I guess Americans just haven’t heard of a little something called the stock market. Isn’t that right Bernanke? Wasn’t the stock market rally you engineered supposed to make everyone feel all nice and confident? Well the great middle class squeeze continues, as the stock market is for the 1% what food stamps are for the poor. They are just strategies to keep these groups apathetic and obedient. The middle class isn’t buying it though, as is evidenced by this recent Gallup Poll conducted January 7-10, 2013.

the line is ticking up. So if one does not actually study the numbers it sounds all gloom and doom but I truly believe we have reached a tipping point. If you can't look up you must be in heaven already. Peace. lmsp

You know, when everything was going to hell. I don't know. I'm skeptical considering most polls just a couple months ago showed Americans more optimistic than they were at any point the last four years. I just am way jaded when it comes to Gallup after their botching the last three elections.

people are still struggling around the country. I mean, hell, I'd wager a guess that more than half of the people I know that were doing fairly well pre-recession are now living paycheck to paycheck; some are struggling to even keep a roof over their heads. It's still damn tough out there.

it has been getting better, albeit very slowly. IMO, I'm surprised the economy has made as much progress as it has with all the GOP shenanigans that have gone on over the last four years.
