China declares war...

...on pollution!

Did nobody else notice this as it went by? China, with its huge environmental catastrophe that resulted from its light speed industrialization has come to grips with the fact that they can continue to function as they have and are setting out to fix it.

What seems to escape people is that the potential of our own investment in the green economy is being foregone, and China is going to join the ranks of many of the European countries to *lead* on this issue instead of denying it.

The jobs, overall economic boost and obvious environmental advantages of having the U.S. take the lead in developing the technologies required for the kind of clean up job the world needs is being ceded, once again.

The oil barons/climate change deniers/regulation is evil crowd lost a golden opportunity.
