I've always thought name recognition was way overrated, making someone a millionaire doesn't make the product better. I'm glad that some are getting smart, we work too hard for our money. Maybe this pandemic has opened our eyes a little, and common sense is coming into fashion

and how the pandemic threw the fashion industry for a loop and now it's just anarchy and old clothes instead of style. I opined that was great for me, since dressing for success always meant I was doomed to failure, thank god for scrubs.

I know few people who are bothering to follow trends, even color trends, these days. Most are more concerned with good food than fashion, something I expect to continue for some time to come.

Yes, there was a reordering of priorities, something increased by inflation, and people are having to shop for quality when they can find it, classic stuff that doesn't go out of style.

That's extending to Xmas, kids getting things that promote creativity instead of more electronic stuff. Games are chosen because they fit the now obsolete version of whatever console the family has. Homemade stuff is also rising in popularity.

Consumerism has taken a step back, that's for sure. Whether or not it's permanent is moot. The step back wasn't voluntary for a lot of people, so my guess is that it won't last for a lot of them.
