Will South African rock drillers end their strike? (where 40 striking drillers were shot & killed?)

Will platinum workers start returning to work at a Lonmin mine where nearly 40 striking rock drillers were shot and killed by police? That’s the question in South Africa where the world’s third largest platinum producer is hoping to resume production. Since platinum operations stopped for the company the price of the metal has jumped by nearly 10 percent. Many workers are saying it would be a betrayal to the memories of those who were shot if they returned to work and they wouldn’t do so until the company agrees to pay equal to $1,500 U.S. dollars per month. Lonmin is hoping the government can help it reach a “peace agreement” with the striking employees so operations can start to return to normal.
