Starbucks Goes Union!
Starbucks workers in Upstate New York made history in December when they became the first in the company to unionize.

Fast forward a few months and there are now 25 unionized locations and over 200 that have filed union elections petitions with the National Labor Relations Board.

This string of union victories is even more impressive when you consider the relentless union-busting campaign waged by the company. The company's CEO went so far as to state that "companies throughout the country [are] being assaulted in many ways, by the threat of unionization.’

This is an all-out war by management to quash the union effort. But the workers have remained strong and unified. In fact, in one day alone, they won five elections in the "right to work" state of Virginia. That is no easy feat.

So where does that leave consumers? Should they patronize stores or boycott them? We say patronize them because more and more locations are saying yes to unions. And many more are looking to come on board with the labor movement.

Below are the 25 locations where workers have won union elections. If you live near them, or are visiting the areas soon, make sure to stop by and spend your dollars at a unionized coffee shop!
