Online Brokerage recommendations?

TDAmeritrade has been bought by... I don't even remember now.

I am worried that the online system I really like will be trashed by the merger.

Which brokerages/systems do you like/dislike and or favor/disfavor for any reasons including politics?

1. TDAmeritrade was bought by Charles Schwab

I inquired when Schwab would take over and it isn't until Q2 2023.

4. I have accounts at Vanguard, Fidelity, and Schwab for 18 years, all have been just fine

5. I hate Fidelity. It may be fine if you don't need customer

service for any reason. If you do it will be the start of a long twisted nightmare of misinformation and misdirection.

6. I'm using E*Trade

No complaints. Simple platform to use with some decent features and tools.

It was recently acquired by Morgan Stanley, but there were no changes that I saw.

7. I've used Vanguard since the early 80s

And can't recommend them highly enough. I got a 401k through work ages ago. I've had several Mutual Funds and have done spectacularly well. Just yesterday I had to deal with them over the phone to transition some old account. They couldn't have been more helpful.
