State OKs Christel House Academy appeal to boost grade
After facing its second low accountability grade since a controversial A rating, Christel House Academy successfully appealed Wednesday for a boost in a way reminiscent of a previous boost that exploded in political scandal.
One of Indianapolis' oldest charter schools, and once known as one of its most successful, Christel House initially would have received a D in this year's A-F school grades.
But its administrators asked the state to discount incomplete high school data while the school was still adding grade levels. By assessing only its Grades K-8, Christel House would wind up with a B.
Over the objection of state schools chief Glenda Ritz, the Indiana State Board of Education agreed the incomplete high school data created an unfair grade for Christel House.

This makes me furious! The bogus education group Governor Pence appointed to give Glenda Rita a hard time is at it again. Charter school doesn't perform as well as public schools even though it is given money and advantages? Just alter the state grade.
Our pay is now tied to these school grades. My school earned an "A" without cheating, they should have to accept their grade. Not a shred of integrity in this school or this administration!
