Earth Engine - TimeLapse
I don't normally like shilling for a corporation, but Google Earth now has a site called TimeLapse and you can look anywhere on earth and see the changes since 1984 to now. If you want to see something scary, go over the Amazon and zoom in to certain areas, especially in the interior. You'll see the forest just vanish.
