?t=9Inslee, who announced last week his bid for president in 2020, pushed back on ABC's "The View" against Trump's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference over the weekend in which the president mocked the Green New Deal and Democrats' focus on wind power.
"When Donald Trump said that, you know, were not going to have toasters and TVs if we have wind power, thats just simply moronic is the best way I can say it," Inslee said.
"He is just such a pessimistic and a narrow-minded thinker," he added. "He needs to get with the rest of Americans that understand the country that sent a man to the moon can develop a clean-energy economy."

And Meghan pissed me off by saying she was a unicorn from another world - no, dear, you're just a stupid republican who doesn't want to face facts.

(8,201 posts)I never watch The View, so that was also the first time I realized she really is just a mouthpiece for Republican lies. Maybe they put her on the show not for balance, but to illuminate the stark contrast between Democrats and Republicans.

(5,609 posts)She's disagreeable, belligerent and unprofessional in the extreme. Agree that were she not the offspring of John McCain she would play hell to keep any kind of job. Condolences to Joy Behar who has the thankless work of keeping spoiled, entitled Meggie in line (hope you get hazardous work pay for that, Joy).

(10,500 posts)I desperately want to vote for him. I love his commitment to climate change, and the way he so eloquently corrected Meghan McCain's lies. Bringing up Sarah Palin and the death panels was brilliant.
But I am very upset by a bill he signed in Washington pertaining to surrogacy. I worry that it will eliminate protection from abuses in the system, and lead to women being exploited and manipulated.
This is really hard for me. I was calling for Inslee to run for president back in 2017. Now I am so conflicted.
