'Trump Digs Coal' -- but this Washington is dumping coal

Green energy advocates have waited years for their day, and will get it Tuesday as Gov. Jay Inslee signs clean power legislation into law in an afternoon ceremony at Rainier Vista Neighborhood House in Seattle.

Coal-generated electricity is out as of 2025, with Washington on a path to a 100% clean electricity future by 2045.

Inslee is going national, last week tabling a plan requiring the country's power plants to be "carbon neutral" by 2030 -- all fossil fuel emissions would have to be offset by clean energy sources -- and by 2035 all power production would be emission free.

"Trying to eliminate all coal-related jobs -- you're going to lose right there," Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of No. 45, said on Jason Rantz's radio show last week. "There are a lot of people who would disagree with that because their livelihood depends on that across the country."

We should have preserved whaling jobs for the same reason. /s
