On the doing of small things

Human actions are having an enormous negative impact on far too many essential life-supporting planetary systems. But don't drive an electric car, recycle or use reusable grocery bags to save the planet. It doesn't need saving.

Do it instead to show love and respect for all that is passing away. Do it as well to show love and respect for all that is living, and for all that which was never born and so can never die.

Honor all that is, as it is, mindfully and with reverence.

Make peace in your heart with your own existence and all that exists within you and around you.

Make peace as well with all that has happened, all that is happening, and all that is yet to come.
