Tipping Point: Wake Up, Freak Out – then Get a Grip

What is missing in this video is this:

Once you pass the tipping point, you MAY be able to push back with Geoengineering - but only for a short period of time.

So it's imperative to:

1.) Realize WHEN we're past the tipping point

2.) Find the most environmentally friendly yet effective remediation measures we can.

... Oh wait. Is Dancing with the Stars a rerun tonight? In that case I guess I might as well watch the M*A*S*H reruns. That Radar O'Reilly is such a character! BTW Have you heard about the new iPad?...

Uhhh..that is now, I do believe.
Love the way the argument goes on and on about "have we reached the (peak oil) Tipping point) ( etc) yet?"
as the (peak oil) (tipping point) (etc) sails on past us.

seem to think it's just a one standard deviation shift in the extreme weather probability curve.

This winter (or lack thereof) should tell the tale. In other words, if the weather stays this hot with an El Nino, then Tipping Point wins.

Frankly, it's probably going to be a little while before we're 100% sure of where the tipping point is, if it didn't happen in 2007. If we end up having several really warm winters in a row, then maybe so. But we'll need to keep observing things over the next few years first.

And, don't forget that we've been in a really significant warming period anyhow, which really hasn't helped our situation much, at all.(although certainly, things wouldn't have been quite as nasty without all that crap we've been pumping in the air!).

Still doesn't necessarily disprove my point. I've seen a graph that details the natural climate variations that have happened over the years.....I think Nederland may have posted it, though I'm having a great deal of trouble finding it at the moment.

[font color="green" face="Verdana"]It communicates urgency, but not hopelessness. Definitely plan on sharing it with my contacts.
