I'm pretty sure I'm right about this: I saw a forsythia bush in the very very first stages of bloom.

The tips of the bushes were plump and light light green as contrasted against the brown branches. Just like in late March.

I'm in the top northern part of New Jersey.

mild winter thus far. (But the two foxes I recently saw had glorious thick fur coats, so I suspect winter will come down hard on us next month.)

we saw lots of folks' roses bushes and flowering bushes in full bloom,
yeah I know I'm in Houston Texas - but that is even strange to see here at Christmas time.

Last winter we had hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, etc weather and it really confused my fruit trees and none of them produced this year,
I hope it doesn't happen again this year too - my outdoor thermometer (in the shade) is currently saying it is 74 degrees

about 90 miles north of Mobile Al.
a month to 6 weeks early.

This week the highs will be 70-ish.
3 days ago the lows were 18, but that was a short few days of nights only freezing.
