Pissed Off.
Over Monocultures of all things! I'm pissed off over plastic, pesticides, oil and deforestation. I'm tired of seeing concrete.
I barely know what district I'm in because they're redistricting. The only thing I've truly done is sign petitions. I recycle most of my trash. I walk everywhere instead of drive.
Someday I want to live in a forest with a garden and have a dog and an old barn for an art studio...for now, I live on the top floor on concrete. No dog, no space for even a window garden. No place to make art except in my notepad.
You know, I'd truly change all of this if I wasn't stuck with a mortgage, and both me and my husband without jobs. I'm betting that a majority of city dwellers have this kind of problem. People barely know how to connect with their communities to do something positive these days. Then the question, "Do you have a permit?" might come up. The only true way to connect is by Internet meetups and some people still don't use the internet...Or they don't use it in that way.
I think economic struggle hurts our abilities to try to heal the world, besides the politicians themselves. Besides the education system that probably doesn't always teach how to be kind to your environment.
*sighs* Well that's my rant.
