and Dinosaur NM, all preserving our national resources for habitat protection and future generations. Brower is the greatest environmental leader of all time.

The Sierra Club's campaign to save Dinosaur was brilliant. They presented the photos of Echo Park at garden clubs all over America. The gardeners then picked up their pens and proceeded to write a HUGE number of letters to Congress advocating for protecting it. The campaign went from no visibility in Washington to winning the argument.

If a student turned that paper into me, it would earn a 'D' at best.

... — such are my feelings, a mixture of revulsion and delight, as we float away on the river, leaving behind for a while all that we most heartily and joyfully detest. That’s what the first taste of the wild does to a man, after having been penned up for too long in the city. No wonder the Authorities are so anxious to smother the wilderness under asphalt and reservoirs. They know what they are doing. Play safe. Ski only in a clockwise direction. Let’s all have fun together.”

We require logic and accuracy, for example. The paper cites a 1961 reprint of Powell's book as refutation of contemporary scientific claims. huh? Quite obvious to anyone that has ever read Encounters with an Archdruid, the paper fundamentally misappropriates material, paraphrasing way out of context, misrepresenting original meaning (oh, and BTW, that source is left out of the bibliography) I could go on and on and on but I have my own student's papers to grade.
