More Texans working in solar industry than on ranches

http://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2013/05/15/more-texans-working-in-solar-industry.html

Fort Worth calls itself Cowtown but nowadays Texas has more people employed in the solar industry than on ranches, according to The Solar Foundation.

Texas ranks eighth in solar jobs with 3,200, which is on par with states such as Colorado, New York, Massachusetts and Florida.

Texas has 278 solar companies and one out of 3,946 employed persons works in the solar industry.

Compare that to tiny New Jersey where there are 5,700 solar jobs and 1 out of 802 employed persons works in the industry. That state has 426 solar companies, a side effect of having plentiful tax breaks and incentives for solar.
