PPL Corp. restarted Unit 2 of the Susquehanna nuclear power plant today, a week after radioactive water was discovered leaking in the Luzerne County facility.

The leak, inside a room in the plant's Unit 2 reactor building, prompted an "unusual event" declaration. An unusual event is the first of the four emergency classifications established by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for nuclear power plants...

The reactor was shut down to repair a turbine with broken blades when the leak was discovered.
