The energy of collisions at the LHC, by far the largest particle collider on the planet, pales in comparison to what Mother Nature does naturally in our upper atmosphere every fucking day!

Cosmic rays of far, far greater energies hit our atmosphere with collisions of such energies that it makes those at the LHC look like mere ping pong balls.

If they did not make planet consuming black holes over the billions of years they have been occurring, the LHC (or any future more powerful collider), certainly will not either.

This is just silly rubbish.

the same theories that predict their possible creation also predicts their near-instant evaporation. So the short answer is, no.

According to the well-established properties of gravity, described by Einstein’s relativity, it is impossible for microscopic black holes to be produced at the LHC. There are, however, some speculative theories that predict the production of such particles at the LHC. All these theories predict that these particles would disintegrate immediately. Black holes, therefore, would have no time to start accreting matter and to cause macroscopic effects.

Also, LHC has been running a few years now and we're still here...

On a more serious note I cant wait to see if EMc2 gets the money to set up WB-8 for proton Boron11 test runs.
