(40,416 posts)The energy of collisions at the LHC, by far the largest particle collider on the planet, pales in comparison to what Mother Nature does naturally in our upper atmosphere every fucking day!
Cosmic rays of far, far greater energies hit our atmosphere with collisions of such energies that it makes those at the LHC look like mere ping pong balls.
If they did not make planet consuming black holes over the billions of years they have been occurring, the LHC (or any future more powerful collider), certainly will not either.
This is just silly rubbish.

(6,278 posts)the same theories that predict their possible creation also predicts their near-instant evaporation. So the short answer is, no.
Also, LHC has been running a few years now and we're still here...
