I'm a bit puzzled as to why a ~1000 mile pipeline to the Gulf makes any sense compared to a much shorter route to an east coast port. Good story, awakening resistance. Would also be interested if you could relate any personal stories you know about it,

For some reason, I thought we were limited to 2 paragraphs. I will try to remember to take another look and update it when I get back home from work.

I don't understand the need for such a long pipeline either.
