BURLINGTON (AP) — Burlington officials are looking to fund the cleanup of a former industrial site where the ground is contaminated with substances including lead and arsenic.

Mel Pines, who heads the Department of Natural Resources Brownfield Redevelopment Program, said an assessment was conducted in 2009, shortly after the city bought the Dresser-Rand complex. But Pines said more work is needed to determine the extent of contamination and the cost of cleanup.
