We in Canada are a month ahead of where we should be in regards to forest fires. And that is

made worse because the smoke in the north blackens the glaciers. They then in turn reflects less sunlight, which makes the ice melt much faster. This whole thing is speeding up.

Yet people still manage to walk around with their heads swallowed wholly by their asses.

This is a martial law situation which is still not perceived as an emergency.
