I had to go on a search for this story to post here, and am thankful that you actually beat me to it. This needs FAR more attention than it is getting in the "media" right now.

I am surprised by the lack of interest on this story here on DU.

We know the Republicans would be happy as clams to go after Native Americans with the modern US military in order to save their dirty profits, and retain the sense of power that comes with being able to unleash absolute hell on people in their road.

It's good to know that European-descended farmers and land-owners in Nebraska share this belief themselves regarding this greed-based destructive project. I hope they will not bail when the going gets even more grotesque.

It IS a filthy shame the corporate media won't bother to inform the U.S. public about what IS at stake here. Their intentional effort to mislead and dupe their fellow Americans should be punishable, but they've been doing it too long now, and will NEVER grow a conscience.

How sad the very people who are being fooled may never wake the #### up in their lifetimes.
