(14,400 posts)you have to post it as a copied URL.
When you're on the page with the picture right click it and select Copy Image URL and paste that copied URL into the Message text box as below.
Yours didn't work because it's not a URL. If you get stuck on something like that you can save the image and then upload it to something like photobucket. From there you can copy the URL and paste it in here. If there's a simpler way to do it hopefully someone will post it.
Also, you don't have to do a test post, you can clike the Preview button at the bottom just to the left of the Post my reply! and it will show you how it's going to look on the post.

(25,699 posts)it may also do *.bmp, but who saves images as bitmaps anymore?
Also some host sites prohibit external display - Images found on Blogspot for instance, will always show up as links rather than images, even if they end in the right file type.
Your best bet is to upload the image to a file hosting site and post directly, or fidn some sourse that allows linking and ends in the proper file type

(14,400 posts)sometimes is search google for the image.
In your case right click and select Search Google for this image.
You'll get a series of visually similar images. Click on it and a page of pictures will show up...http://tinyurl.com/oyprg2z
Select the one you want and click on it. You should get a preview with a larger image. Click on View Image and if the address ends in .jpg you should be good to go. Right click and select Copy image URL and paste it in to the message text screen as below.
