For your listening pleasure, Episode 41 of Extinction Radio is now ready to stream.

At Extinction Radio we bear witness to the Sixth Great Extinction Event currently unfolding by welcoming and reflecting a diversity of viewpoints on how, when and why extinction is occurring. Using a mix of formats including interviews, presentations, poetry and music, segments offer wisdom and compassion on navigating the probable demise of humanity and non-human species as well as advice and encouragement on living fully and with full awareness until we can no longer go on.
I would like to wish all our listeners a fulfilled New Years, as happy and fulfilled as one can be with all the extreme weather events unfolding this week. Kevin Hester will give an update on the Politics of Climate change down under. Debba Kale Earnshaw will talk about a local bridge, built in 1770, that collapsed because of the extreme flooding in northern UK where she lives. John Compost Cossham will talk about the extreme flooding in York UK and infrastructure collapse as a result. Gail Zawacki will present her dispatch from the endocine. Carolyn Baker will talk about what happiness actually is, Solomon Amuzu will talk about Permaculture and Peter Melton will interview both Carolyn and Dean Spillane Walker about their upcoming webinar. Guy McPherson will give a climate retrospective. Debba Kale Earnshaw will read Sam Carana's blog post, and Ivey Cone will give a retrospective on extreme weather for last year.
Of course we will feature our poet laureates of Doom, Rex Eagle, Debba Kale Earnshaw, and Benjamin TheDonkey. I will feature the music of Jonathan Kochmer and Peter Melton.
Extinction Radio is broadcast on Saturday evenings at 7:00pm UK Time/ 11:00am Pacific time on globalcollapsehq.com/gchqradio/, and Tuesday Evenings at 9:00pm Eastern Time/ 6:00pm Pacific Time on ActivateMedia.org.

(369 posts)Extinction Radio is a separate podcast than Nature Bats Last.
Guy McPherson is a regular contributor to Extinction Radio. His climate change wrap up from Nature Bats Last was very good and he suggested we use it for our first Episode of 2016.
Generally Dr. McPherson does a Q&A from members of various Facebook groups dealing with abrupt climate change
