North Korea and China are no longer blood brothers

North Korea thought China was their closest ally, until now. In the past, China helped out North Korea a great deal, helping them out with the war, and with various support including humanitarian aid and fuel. But North Korea these days are blatantly going against China's wishes by firing off missiles into the sea. The conflict is getting bigger and bigger, and now it's just out of control. UN has already made sanctions against North Korea, and China is helping out with the sanctioning. These two countries are no longer buddies, but now a pretty bitter relationship. North Korea is sending its best to amend the wrongs, but I don't think it's working too well.

China doesn't have to beg for status. China is a power, and has its own regional interests, and will pursue them as it sees fit. We certainly are no example of using power responsibly.

The current relationship is not going to change. They like having NK as a foil to poke the US with, and they absolutely do not want NK to collapse.
