A lawyer acting for the woman who made rape allegations against Julian Assange has accused him of violating her client in the media, after the WikiLeaks founder
released a statement detailing answers he gave to Swedish investigators.
Assange on Wednesday thumbed his nose at Swedish officials, who he says have robbed him of his freedom for six years, by releasing the answers he gave to them under questioning at Ecuadors London embassy last month.
The statement sets out for the first time a detailed account by Assange of his encounter with the woman in August 2010.
Elisabeth Massi Fritz, the lawyer for the accuser, said Assanges decision to release details of their relationship in the statement was unfortunate.
