Al-Sisi meets CIA chief, US ambassador

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met Sunday with the Head of the US’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Brennan, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting tackled enhancing the relations between the two countries, as well as the latest international and regional updates, state media reported.

The meeting was also attended by Egypt’s own Chief of General Intelligence Service (GIS), Khaled Fawzy, and US ambassador to Egypt Robert S. Beecroft.

In March, the US administration announced resuming arms deals that had been suspended since October 2013. These include 12 F-16 fighter jets, 20 Harpoon missiles, and equipment for M1A1 Abrams tanks.
