'Sincere Gratitude' Nepal thanks Israel for earthquake aid
The government of Nepal has expressed its thanks to Israel for the extensive aid it provided in the wake of a massive earthquake that devastated large parts of the country.
Speaking at a farewell event for Israeli aid workers on Sunday, government minister Naryan Khadka said,
Let me express our sincere gratitude to the government of Israel and to the people of Israel for helping us in times of very critical hours for Nepal.
According to the Jerusalem Post, a mobile field hospital set up by Israel "offered operating rooms, imaging facilities, advanced labs, and an intensive care section with 150 Israelis taking care of its patients."
Israel also engaged in search and rescue operations, safety training, and "scanned 332 public buildings to check whether they were still stable."
