I knew BDS wouldn't be happy about this

Anti-Israel activists were angered over a Sabra hummus product endorsement during the first episode of the “Late Show” with new host Stephen Colbert Tuesday night.

Will make sure to pick up some Sabra hummus for our New Years dinner on Sunday night. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year.

but I really don't and mom just was notified of 5 more guests so she's scrambling. Their pine nut infused stuff happens to be pretty good. We're going with appetizers of hummus, eggplant spread and whatever else I can find at this great market in Westchester that is close to my house. I think they're Armenian but have all the goodies I love and make a lot of the stuff fresh. I am so totally against BDS that I do whatever I can to thwart them.

Wishing you an yours nothing but love and laughter in the coming year.

Forget the Israel / Palestine stuff - Sabra is bean poop, and people shouldn't eat it.

It's sort of like Fosters beer. It's the shit beer Australians won't drink so they sell it to the US instead.

Blegh.

It is amazing the things they are calling humus now. Lima bean humus? I don't think so.

but if you really think you're thwarting BDS by buying it, go ahead, but when it comes to eating it well there's almost got to be something better out there, maybe a Middle Eastern grocery store/deli where they make it fresh? That's where I get it and it beats Sabra hands down

If BDS is unhappy about it, I'm thrilled. But lovely to you to admit they're nothing but a bunch of thugs who go after anything remotely Jewish - even stuff not made in Israel. Just as expected from these clowns.

6. BDS crowd only care if it is Jewish or not
Fri Sep 11, 2015, 01:56 PM
Sep 2015

They don't care if it's Israeli or from occupied territories or anything else.

Recently the BDS movement wouldn't allow a Jewish American to perform at a festival but allowed a Gay hating performance.

Also recently the BDS movement left a severed bloody pigs head in a Kosher Jewish supermarket in South Africa.

The list is endless....

I'm sure it's a popular dish on many menus in Israel, just like baba ganoush and falafel. My husband makes hummus from scratch, using dry chickpeas that he soaks overnight.

I'm part Greek and love cold dips like melitzanosalata (eggplant spread) and taramosalata, made of fish roe, crusty bread, olive oil, lemon juice and onion.

When I was a kid I thought Jews only ate matzo ball soup and gefilte fish. Imagine my surprise when I was first invited to my friends house for dinner, and was served fried chicken, mashed taters, collard greens and corn bread. I was like, huh? LOL

One, Sabra is gross, no matter what. Like GoJo that someone spilled frito bean dip into.

Two... cats are obligate carnivores. Don't feed them vegetables, man!

pissed at Colbert for "promoting" it:

Sabra is a target of BDS activists because it is co-owned by the Israel-based Strauss Group, which has provided care packages to the Golani Brigade, an infantry unit of the Israel Defense Forces.
