Hamas official: Arab Spring rallies inappropriate for Gaza

Senior Hamas member Mahmoud al-Zahar dismissed a statement made by Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal, who claimed recently that the group will hold mass rallies against Israel within the Gaza Strip.

"Popular resistance is inappropriate for the Gaza Strip," al-Zahar said. "Against whom exactly would be rally? Such resistance would be fitting if Gaza was occupied." However, he claimed that all forms of resistance – including the armed kind – are appropriate for the West Bank, as it is "still under occupation." (Elior Levy)

Amazing. A Hamas leader just admitted there's no occupation going on in Gaza. In addition, Hamas has not renounced violence as per recent reports. FWIW, Amnesty International and HRW still insist Gaza is occupied. That makes them more Hamas than Hamas.

That would probably mean the end of Hamas rule in Gaza which is most likely why they are opposing them.

i believe its part of the new 'white mans burden" to explain to the arabs what is really happening to them, they don't seem to understand.

"white man" (UN and friends) says they are occupied in gaza, well than i guess they are occupied, even if the arabs of gaza say they are not.

white mans says gaza is lacking in building materials, food etc. i guess when hamas leader says they get everything they need including materials for a second 5 star hotel, they don't simply don't really understand, only the "white man" and his friends understand and will explain to those arabs of gaza what they don't understand.

seems the 'white mans burden" hasn't changed much since the 1800's, they still seem to believe that the "locals" or the indigenous people, those little brown people simply don't understand whats being done to them and its up to the "white man" in the guises of the UN and NGO's to explain it to them.....

Hamas must've failed to get that message. Guess the white man knows Hamas better than they know themselves.

One of my favorites is from a few years ago, where a Hamasnik brags of using human shields....

That wasn't enough for Amnesty, HRW, or Goldstone. They stand by their convictions there wasn't evidence of any such thing. Again, the white man knows Hamas didn't do that, nevermind what the indigenous 'brown people' say.

Like Hamas' hateful, genocidal charter that white folks think isn't relevant anymore.

Or how about the opinions (citation of a PEW poll) of the indigenous where something like 97% have negative opinions of Jews?

Or Palestinian opinion on wanting the IDF to wipe out Hamas or continue the occupation in Gaza when things were better under IDF control. Of course the white folks here don't take the indigenous there seriously and doubt those findings.

Another poll shows over 70% of Palestinians agree with the edict that Jews must be killed. White folks deny that too.

============

In summary, the white folks know better than the indigenous there. And remember, Palestinians aren't responsible for their actions. The 'white' Israelis are almost 100% responsible for everything.

Thinking of more examples...

They need a flotilla from the USA and Scandanavia and Australia and UK to get their pronto so that they and the ISM can get back to beeing their spokespeople and explain that they really really really are occupied !!!!!

This Gazan is spoiling THE narrative.
