http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4333812,00.htmlWith only five days left before the national elections, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert warned that incumbent leader Benjamin Netanyahu could cause an irreparable rift between Israel and its closest ally.

The Israeli government, Olmert continued, "rejects peace. It rejects the process and refuses to talk to the moderates on the Palestinian side. It doesn't want an agreement. There's no other way to say it."

OP

(30,109 posts)1. Olmert tried for peace. Made an offer in 2008. How'd that turn out for Olmert?
We're told his offer was shit & he may as well have not tried.

failed and debunked argument from dubious past threads?

Olmert offered even more in 2008. I'm not sure Netanayahu can do any better than that. Even if he made the same offers, the Palestinians would reject them as they did years ago.
So?
Maybe, just maybe, there's nothing Israel can offer that the Palestinians want. After all, the Palestinians have rejected their own state multiple times since 1937.
What do you think Israel could offer that the Palestinians would find reasonable & therefore accept? In addition, what would Israel, under Netanyahu, have to offer in order to make you believe Palestinians would be at fault if they rejected such a reasonable deal?

My friend, this is not about failed attempts, by some, to discuss debunked arguments from dubious past threads.
The posted article is about this:
Olmert: Israeli government rejecting peace
Former PM blasts Netanyahu administration for causing rift with US president, senselessly spending on defense and refusing to negotiate with moderate Palestinians
I'm not sure if you are trying to hijack this thread with more bogus talking points about how the Palestinians don't want peace when what they want is their land back without Israeli preconditions, security zones, or land taken without any possibility of its return.
If you don't want to address the article then you are welcome to create original posts of your regurgitated fictions over and over to your hearts content.
