There is no point in looking to Obama for salvation, unless you are part of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The silence of American Jewry and the conspiracy of the liberal media in the church of the Democratic Party is deafening and shocking for sheer hypocrisy, lack of conscience and absence of intellectual integrity.
In the midst of all the media hype and disinformation campaign against Israel - many American Jews, for reasons that are difficult to explain, are either livid or indifferent, if not downright anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic.
And although most Americans overwhelmingly support the only Jewish state in the world, the most contemptuous and hate-filled Apologist-in-Chief's rhetoric about his "unshakable" and undying commitment to defend Israel is all talk and no action.
Simply put, President Barack Obama has pandered to Islamic terrorists for far too long. That is why Obama's outreach to reassure Saudi Arabia, subvert Israel and rub elbows with the Pope are the usual political posturing - creating a semblance of doing something, but really doing something for no reason other than to burnish sinking poll numbers and try to win Jewish and Catholic votes in an election year.

(45,850 posts)Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said American Jewish organizations are selling out on Israel in favor of the Obama administration.
Bachmann made the accusation this week during a telephone interview with Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council and host of the online radio show that is featured on the conservative Christian groups website.
What has been shocking has been seeing and observing Jewish organizations who, it appears, have made it their priority to support the political priority and the political ambitions of the president over the best interests of Israel. They sold out Israel, Bachmann said.
She said this in reference to a Feb. 27 letter by major Democratic donors, many of them Jewish, to party congressional leaders urging them not to advance new Iran sanctions legislation. This is clearly against Israels best interest, she said.

except for the fact that Ms Bachmann seems unaware that she's glibly engaging in antisemitism

When the truth is the majority of the Democratic Party supporters and office holders are strong Zionist Israel supporters with a marginal extremist contingent in the minority who are usually active vocally in forums and blogs -- not do much .
But thankfully this doesn't translate into the real world in terms of support or lack thereof nor election.

(30,099 posts)are seeing campaigns designed to push back on their political influence via Democrats.
Our Senate majority leader, Reid, even mentions them by name on the floor of the Senate,
branding them as a negative influence on US policy...which is a smart tactic since we
have unbridled money flowing into our elections.
Adelson, as you say, is a clear bigot and he poses a threat to Democrats in the general election.
However, I am not sure the Democrats in office would use available examples of Adelson's bigotry
toward Palestinians to highlight his agenda as a means to push back on his political influence.
We have a level of hypocrisy regarding the Palestinians, which I am sure comes as no
surprise to you.

Six Border Policemen hurt, IDF post destroyed in settlers' rampage near Yitzhar
"Some of us left families with small children at home, academic studies, places of work, and we also left behind the strong political views that most of us have for one reason: to defend the life of the settlers here and protect the law and organization here," the reservist said.
"Instead, we must tolerate violent humiliation. At this rate, it's only a matter of time until we see physical violence toward soldiers and police again."

The casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, organized a public display of his power.
He summoned to his Las Vegas betting paradise the four most probable Republican candidates for the next presidential elections, in order to choose one of them. All the invitees heeded the summons, of course.
It was a shameless exhibition. The politicians groveled before the casino lord. Mighty governors of important states did their best to sell themselves like applicants at a job interview. Each of them tried to trump the others in promising to do the Moguls bidding.
Flanked by Israeli bodyguards, Adelson grilled the American hopefuls. And what was he demanding from the future president of the United States? First of all and above everything else, blind and unconditional obedience to the government of another state:
Israel.
Adelson is one of the richest Jews in the world. He is also a fanatical rightist not only an American rightist, but also an Israeli one.
While he is now looking for the best American president money can buy, he has already chosen his Israeli stooge. He has done something unprecedented in Israeli history: created an instrument to impose his ultra-right views on the Israeli people.
For this purpose he has invested large sums of money in a daily newspaper of his creation. It is called Israel Hayom (Israel today), and is literally priceless: it is distributed for nothing all over the country. Its readership is now the largest in the country, threatening the existence of the former No. 1, Yedioth Ahronoth and killing the next one, Maariv.
The sole purpose of Adelsons paper is to serve Binyamin Netanyahu, personally and politically, unconditionally and unreservedly. This is such a blatant intervention in Israeli politics by a foreign billionaire that it is causing a reaction: all Knesset factions, both rightist and leftist (except the Likud, of course) have signed a demand to put an end to this corruption of democracy.

i haven't heard any of my jewish friends complain about obama. jerry gettinger who lives here in scottsdale was a delegate at the democraric convention. he has pictures of he and his wife with the president and the first lady. the NJDC is supportive of the president.
when i lived in new york almost all my friends were jewish and the topic of israel never came up -- not from them and not from their parents. i lived in a predominantly jewish neighborhood. the only one who mentioned it was my chiropractor who made quite a few trips to israel. i think he might have had family there. i had jewish boyfriends who never mentioned israel.
the last president who really tried to get peace between israel and the palestinians was clinton. he worked on it until he was almost out of office. in that case the palestinians were offered a great deal -- almost back to the '67 borders and arafat turned it down.
