Leading Manhattan Congregation Vows to Pull Support for Israel Parade Unless ‘Anti-Israel’ Groups

Leading Manhattan Congregation Vows to Pull Support for Israel Parade Unless ‘Anti-Israel’ Groups Are Barred From Participating

A leading Manhattan rabbi, representing some of the largest Sephardic communities in New York City, on Wednesday threatened to pull his support from the annual Celebrate Israel Parade, on June 1, unless the parade organizers bar “anti-Israel” groups from participating this year.

“Despite New Israel Fund‘s stated opposition to Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), their continued funding of these groups shows their actions are not in line with their statements.”

“For instance, five grantees of the New Israel Fund (MachsomWatch, Coalition of Women for Peace,Women Against Violence, Social TV, and Mossawa) signed a letter to the Norwegian Government Pension Fund, urging it to divest from Israel.”

“Partners for Progressive Israel (also known as Meretz USA) prominently displays on its website, under the heading ‘boycott these Settlement products sold in the U.S.,’ a list of Israeli products that it wants Jews to boycott. These products include Ahava cosmetics, SodaStream products, and wine from nine Israeli vineyards.”

“The chair of B’Tselem’s board, Oren Yiftachel, has publicly called for ‘effective sanctions’ against Israel. B’Tselem is a major grantee of the New Israel Fund.”

I wasn't surprised by their views on the Left wing NGO's .... we get that all the time from our own Right wing ....( and remember shira's comments regarding MadsomWatch and Shulamit Aloni and almost every Left winger and NGO mentioned on here since I joined ?? ).....
it was that they included Meretz in their vitriol . ....( again remember how shira said she would vote Meretz if she lived here ? !! )....if they show that kind of hatred for the only true Left wing Zionist party left ..... makes me wonder what they think of us and of Hadash .
There again they probably think we are such a small minority that we are not worth a mention

Yoelarry says,

Kudos to Rabbi Abadie. I encourage all to join his brave example and refuse to participate in any event that enables the pathological Golums who are committing fratricide against fellow Jews by siding with those intent on our destruction.

Esther Noodelman says,
It looks as if Rabbi Abadie has finally had the courage to come out and say what most Jews devoted to Israel feel and express our outrage at the enemy within in a very simple straightforward mmanner, without malice

Robin Ticker says,
J Street is a front for Obama the master of deceipt. Just watch Glenn Beck with a bad case of nausea listening to Obama praise Obamacare.

Michael Garfinkel says,
Certainly there are more than enough Jewish traitors these days to fill the Fifth Avenue parade route.

Esther Noodelman pipes up again,
I agree totally that we don’t need self haters adding to world condemnation of Jews.
(...)
Our Jews are so far gone, they can’t even tell the difference with pro-Israel and anti-Israel Jews.Nobody can harm you more than the enemy within.

Mara Cohen says,
Good. Tolerance for stupidity and BS tends to get get Jews killed, and I for one, have no desire to see any of my Relatives killed. Sephardi/Mizrahi Folks know precisely what is in store for our Families and Co-Religionists, should these self-haters actually get their way, and Israel be destroyed. Rabbi Abadie, thank you!

berhard lazarus says,
A NATION CAN SURVIVE ITS FOOLS,EVEN THE AMBITIOUDS BUT IT CANNOT SURVIVE TREASON FROM WITHIN.—–THE TRAITOR MOVES AMONGST THOSE WITHIN THE GATE FREELY,HIS SLY WHISPERS RUSTELING,HEARD IN THE VERY HALLS OF GOVERNMENT ITSELF—–HE SPEAKS IN ACCENTS FAMILIAR TO HIS VICTIMS—–HE ROTS THE SOUL OF A NATION—-HE INFECTS THE BODY POLITIC SO THAT IT CAN NO LONGER RESIST. A MURDERER IS LESS TO FEAR

Michael Garfinkel again,
The issue of leftist Jews who have gone over to the enemy, and who labor, directly or otherwise to facilitate a second holocaust, has become very worrisome.

Harvey says,
At long last ! We are slowly beginning to wake up to this terrible enemy within .
Better not to hold a parade than have one solitary anti Israel activist marching alongside .
This Trojan Horse is the antisemites stealth weapon of choice and is gratefully used to help delegitimise and ultimately destroy Israel .

The antisemite knows that in order to do this he must separate Israel from the Jewish Diaspora and to effect that split he must divide the community . This is what is happening with the likes of JStreet , NIF , betselem etc .

No more Big Tent . Clear guide lines . With these Ashamed Jews inside there will be no tent in a few years . Stand for Israel . Sweep the Jewish quislings aside before it is too late

I’m from the UK . We have the same problem here in Yachad . They applied to join Zionist Federation but were declined . Now do the same in the USA
Cut the cancer before it kills the body

...And it just keeps going, Dave. Post after post after post ranting and raving about "race traitors" and "fifth columns" and such.

What's your response?

Well, you don't have one, it seems. Approving silence, perhaps?

Zionism's opinion of Jews, in its own words.

Which is why every comment section on the site is a steady block of Zionist self-praise... including the typical Zionist Jew-hate towards those "golums" (that's a new one, at least) who are not Zionists.

Sick and disgusting, you say. Good to know.

Let's see a King_David post in that comments section, calling out the Jew-haters talking about race treason, self-loathing, fifth columns, and what not. Call them exactly what they are - antisemites, false-flag operatives, posers, whatever it is they are.

After all, the comments are absolutely disgusting, right, so you should be more than able to express that. Show them your disgust.

Let's see if your post makes it through moderation. if it does, let's watch the responses.

I will add the less radical appearing group, presumed to be liberal J Street, is not prepared
to fight the radical elements, either.

J Street: Israel's Loyal Opposition

J Street's fourth annual conference, held in September in Washington DC, was shot through with the triumphalism of a lobby ascendant. Opening the event, J Street president Jeremy Ben-Ami staked out the rational middle-ground for resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict, beset, as it always seems to be, by opposed extremes. Against one-state fantasists to his left and Greater Israel fanatics to his right, Ben-Ami reasserted J Street's vision for a negotiated two-state settlement.

With the air of a general nearing battle's end, Ben-Ami observed that even the likes of AIPAC and the Republican Party could now be heard endorsing a Palestinian state. But as he also pointed out, there is a big difference between using "the language of two-states" and supporting it in substance. This distinction is important to bear in mind with respect to J Street's own position.

The J Street Solution

The "two-state solution" is shorthand for a set of principles, grounded in international law, for resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict. These provide for a peace settlement based on an Israeli withdrawal to its pre-June 1967 borders; the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza, including East Jerusalem as its capital; and a just resolution of the Palestinian refugee problem, based on international law.

With the exception of the United States, Israel, and a handful of their allies, the entire General Assembly of the United Nations annually affirms the two-state solution. The International Court of Justice and all major human rights organizations have confirmed its key premises—the illegality of Israel's settlements and the status of the whole of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including East Jerusalem, as occupied Palestinian territory.

J Street claims to support the two-state solution. In fact, it rejects it in favor of terms of settlement more amenable to Israel.

Diaspora Affairs Ministry reconsidering its funding of future parades; Celebrate Israel Parade one of most visible manifestations of Zionism in US today.

The debate centers around the participation of the New Israel Fund (NIF), a liberal social advocacy organization that funds a large number of indigenous Israeli civil society organizations. Taking over New York’s Fifth Avenue every summer, the parade, a collaboration of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and the UJA-Federation, is one of the most visible manifestations of Zionism in America today.

MK Nissim Ze’ev spoke at a New York rally last week opposing the inclusion of the NIF, Partners for Progressive Israel and B’Tselem in the parade.

One of the organizations leading the charge against their inclusion is JCC Watch, run by Richard Allen.

Shoval’s joining with Lieberman doesn’t make the movement he left behind any more or less partisan than it was before, but it doesn’t seem far fetched to say it gives yet more indication where its loyalties lie – with the secular, undemocratic hard right.
